Why are pre and post natal massages so important?
Massage is a very important part of prenatal care. From the beginning of pregnancy your body goes through a series of constant changes. Your pelvis bones shift, belly grows, spine shifts and you experience swelling. Research shows that professional prenatal massage therapy can help reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle and joint pains and improve labour outcomes and newborn health.
More benefits of pregnancy massage include hormone regulation, reduction of swelling, improvement in nerve pain, improvement in back pain, reduced edema, reduced tension headaches, reduced stress and better sleep.
Each pregnant person experiences symptoms differently and this is why it is important for me to get to know you, and for you to feel comfortable with me. A specific plan will be set up for each individual to ensure all of your needs will be met and concerns will be addressed.
